Overview:

In SharePoint, we use wiki pages library for help pages. But sometimes we don’t want everything on page – left navigation, top navigation or I say everything over bread crumb and title area.

Still we want all the functionality of wiki page with 100% height & width including version, edit, history, incoming links and all wiki page features. A requirement where we want to use 100% space for content which is opened in a new explorer window, we need to customize wiki page.

Well, you don’t need to do anything if you need wiki page or help page, the one shown in image below.

Nothing to explain inside this article. Just download attached aspx page and upload to any document library.

If you are having difficulties in uploading this page to share point, proceed following steps to upload using share point designer.

If you want to upload to wiki library using SharePoint designer...

1.      Download attached aspx page.

2.      Open SharePoint designer

3.      Open your site and navigate to wiki library using folder list pane in left of designer.

4.      Important: click on your library on left and just paste downloaded aspx page. Make sure you paste it at right place!!

5.      Test the page in browser (or select page and press F12)

6.      You can edit/add content of the wiki page from browser.

Thanks
